She almost said no to Barcelona. Folake had every reason to stay home — comfort, certainty, a plan that did not include a city across an ocean. The idea of leaving felt too large, too unfamiliar.

But friends have a way of seeing what we cannot. Quiet conversations, gentle nudges, and one too many "Folake, just go" later, she packed her bags and boarded the plane.

Barcelona welcomed her with sunlight on stone and Spanish on every corner. School became home — and home is where she met Sam. A glance in a hallway, a shared laugh over impossible coursework, late evenings that turned into long walks down Las Ramblas.

The rest, as they say, is history.
